These Terms and Conditions govern your use of pickmyspeciality.com and masseter.com (the Sites), and any service purchased from MASSETER EDU APPLICATIONS AND HEALTH SERVICES PVT LTD (we, us) through them. PickMySpeciality and Masseter are services operated by the same company. Please read these terms, the relevant service description, our Privacy Policy, and our Cancellation and Refund Policy before placing an order. By using a Site or purchasing a service, you agree to these terms.
1. About the services
PickMySpeciality provides education and career guidance services for doctors and medical students, which may include psychometric assessments, reports, college and seat information, and related guidance. Masseter may offer related education and career services. The specific inclusions, price, availability, delivery method, and any stated validity period are those shown on the relevant service or checkout page when you order. Content on the Sites may be updated from time to time.
2. Who may use the services
You must give accurate contact, educational, and other information reasonably needed to provide a service. If an assessment participant is under 18, a parent or lawful guardian must authorise the purchase and participation and provide any consent required for processing the child’s information. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Assessments and career guidance
Answer assessment questions yourself and as accurately as you can. A report reflects the information submitted and the assessment method used. It is intended to support reflection and career discussions. It does not guarantee admission, a specialty allocation, examination performance, employment, income, or professional satisfaction. It is not a medical or psychiatric diagnosis and does not replace professional clinical care or formal admission and counselling rules. You remain responsible for your career and application decisions.
4. Orders and online payment
Prices and any applicable taxes or fees are displayed before payment. Payments for purchases through the Sites are accepted online only through the payment option shown at checkout. An order is confirmed when we issue an order confirmation or make the purchased service available. If payment is debited without confirmation, contact us with the transaction reference before paying again. We may reject or cancel an order where payment cannot be verified, information is materially inaccurate, or the service is unavailable. If we cannot provide a paid service, we will offer an appropriate remedy or refund.
5. Cancellations and refunds
The Cancellation and Refund Policy displayed on the relevant Site applies to purchases. In general, psychometric assessment fees become nonrefundable once test access is provided, the test begins, or a personalised report or counselling service is delivered. The policy also explains requests made before delivery, duplicate charges, and service failures. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Responsible use
You may use the Sites and purchased reports for your own lawful, personal purposes. Do not impersonate another person, submit another person’s data without authority, interfere with the Sites, attempt unauthorised access, use automated tools to extract content, copy assessment questions or methods, distribute reports commercially, or use the services in a way that infringes another person’s rights. We may restrict access to address a breach, misuse, or security risk and will consider any amounts already paid and applicable consumer rights when doing so.
7. Intellectual property
The Sites, assessment materials, reports, designs, text, logos, and underlying methods are owned by MASSETER EDU APPLICATIONS AND HEALTH SERVICES PVT LTD or its licensors unless otherwise stated. Your purchase gives you a limited, nonexclusive right to use the purchased material for your personal purposes. It does not transfer ownership or allow reproduction, resale, public posting, or creation of competing assessment content without written permission. You retain rights in information you provide and permit us to use it to deliver and support the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Privacy and links
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including assessment responses and reports. The Sites may link to third-party websites or services. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you leave our Sites. A link does not mean that we control or endorse that third party.
9. Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the Sites and services available and to correct reported problems, but access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Please report a material issue promptly so we can investigate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information you provide, misuse of an assessment, or events beyond our reasonable control. This clause does not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including remedies for deficient services.
10. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes do not retroactively alter an order already accepted unless required by law or agreed with you. Indian law applies to these terms. Subject to applicable consumer protection law and any mandatory forum rights, disputes may be brought before the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
11. Contact and complaints
For orders, technical support, complaints, or questions about these terms, contact MASSETER EDU APPLICATIONS AND HEALTH SERVICES PVT LTD. Include your order reference when relevant. We will review and respond to complaints through our support process.
